The Federal act on spatial planning introduces a new model based on the protection of agricultural land, the development of the built environment towards the interior, and the use of legalized building zones. The Messieurs.ch agency was commissioned to create a video explaining these new issues. They hired us for our expertise in stop-motion animation and set construction. Our collective goal was to create an original universe that allows everyone to understand this serious and technical subject.

We had to respond to a pre-existing and very detailed storyboard. We'll always remember that sentence: "Can you create an avalanche of vegetables?" Of course, we can! But the challenge was still huge for us. First, we analyzed the storyboard and defined the best technique for each scene, stop-motion, or live-action. Then, we took care of the design, cutting, assembling, and gluing each shape, including about sixty carrots! Once the shapes were assembled, we used several visual tricks to bring the whole thing to life during the shooting: nylon threads, pulleys, counterweights, or magnets to move the elements.
