Pro Helvetia promotes Swiss arts and culture with a focus on diversity and high quality. As the Swiss Confederation’s cultural promotion institution, they support projects that are of national interest. They approached us to develop a series of explainer videos aimed at applicants for Pro Helvetia’s innovative design sponsorship program.

We suggested splitting the content into 3 consecutive steps. This allowed us to shorten the length of the videos to 60 seconds each which is much more efficient for keeping the attention of users.

Design projects are eclectic by nature. Therefore we opted to use the intrinsic properties of a cube to represent Pro Helvetia’s initiative and appeal for submissions. Our aim was to be as clear and inclusive as possible to explain the application process to upcoming designers; so we devised a minimalist and geometric visual language. Therefore, we used the cube as a communication vector to guide potential applicants, as they move from concept to prototype and from production to deployment to various media channels.
